Leading Analyst Firm Evaluates Lithium Technologies as Customer Community Software Vendor

Emeryville, Calif. - March 14, 2012 – Lithium Technologies, the leader in Social Customer Experience, today announced it has been recognized as a customer community software vendor in the Gartner, Inc. Critical Capabilities for Peer-to-Peer Customer Community Software research report (1). Lithium received a score of 4.6 on a scale of 1.0 (lowest ranking) to 5.0 (highest ranking) in "Overall Score in Use Cases."

By use-case category, Lithium scored 4.7 in customer support; 4.7 in commerce; 4.6 in product development; 4.6 in lead generation; and 4.5 in collaboration.

The annual report helps marketing, customer service, IT and social media managers make social CRM purchasing decisions. It evaluates peer-to-peer customer community software vendors based on their "Critical Capabilities" (content creation, knowledge management, member management and agile social platform) and "Use Cases" (customer support, commerce, product development, lead generation and collaboration).

"Peer-to-peer communities have arisen as an essential tool in the customer service and support department's collaborative answers and case resolution toolbox," according to the Gartner Research report (1).
