Lithium Technologies Acquires Scout Labs
Lithium Technologies' recent acquisition of Scout Labs solidifies its standing at the forefront of brand marketing and market research. With the addition of social media monitoring tools, Lithium extends the ability for its clients to engage with consumers wherever they are active on the social web.
The news, covered by Juan Martinez on destinationCRM.com, broke May 6 on TechCrunch.com, and pegs the purchase price in the vicinity of $20 million (neither Lithium nor Scout Labs would disclose the terms of the deal).
No one can be sure if this deal will catalyze a series of similar moves within the industry, but everyone with whom CRM spoke agrees that the acquisition represents a huge victory for Lithium.
