Lithium Technologies Recognized as a Leader in Community Platforms by Independent Research Firm

Emeryville – 1 November, 2010Lithium Technologies, the leading provider of Social Customer Solutions, today announced that it has been positioned by Forrester Research, Inc. as a leader in the “The Forrester Wave™: Community Platforms, Q4 2010” report. The Forrester Wave for Community Platforms evaluates companies based on their current offerings, strategy, and market presence. The report is available from the Lithium website – Access Report

In the report, industry analyst, Melissa Parrish, states, “Forrester’s research shows that 24% of interactive marketing executives of companies with $500 million or more in revenue are currently implementing or piloting a program using a community platform. An additional 31% plan to pilot a consumer-facing community program in the next 12 months.”

The Wave results show that Lithium Technologies is ranked number one for their current offering, the Social Customer Suite, and number one in strategy. Additionally, Lithium received the top ranked scores in the areas of features, services, leadership, and clients.

Highlights from the Forrester Wave 2010 Community Platforms report include:

  • "In Forrester’s 60-criteria evaluation of community platform vendors, we found that Lithium Technologies [and another vendor] led the pack because of their mature tool sets and depth of services offered."
  • "Lithium offers particular expertise in community management for interactive marketers whose business objective is to maximize engagement with their consumers through an external community."
  • "Lithium zeroes in on the marketer. With a fully featured community suite, a comprehensive listening platform, and a robust and dedicated moderation tool set, Lithium has considered the three most important needs of marketers: tools that consumers can use to interact with the marketer and each other; the ability to know what consumers think about their company, brands, or services; and the ability to keep their communities healthy, thriving, and trouble-free."

“We consider our leader position in the Wave a great honor and a validation of the innovation and business results we bring to our customers,” said Lyle Fong, CEO and co-founder of Lithium Technologies. “Marketers will be leading the charge within their enterprises to revolutionize they way they engage with their customers online. Our growth in 2011 will be fueled by our ability to serve marketers’ needs.”
