Lithium Technologies Appoints Jim Drill as SVP of Worldwide Sales

With More than Two Decades Proven Enterprise Sales Leadership, Drill Enhances Lithium's Ability to Continue Rapid Sales Growth

Emeryville, Calif. November 15, 2011 – Lithium Technologies, the leader in Social Customer Solutions, today announced it has named Jim Drill as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, marking the latest significant appointment to the company's executive team. With more than two decades of proven sales and marketing leadership at major technology companies, Drill will position Lithium even more strongly to continue its rapid sales growth.

Drill joins immediately and is responsible for driving Lithium's comprehensive global sales strategy. He serves on the company’s executive management team, reporting directly to Lithium President and Chief Executive Officer Rob Tarkoff.

Drill joins Lithium from BMC Software where he served as Vice President of Americas Sales, including Latin America and public sector sales. In that role, Drill led an organization of 400 sales professionals carrying a $300 million quota, and spearheaded the complete re-engineering of a complex enterprise sales organization.

Prior to BMC Software, Drill served as Vice President of Worldwide Sales & Development at Imperva, where he built a professional enterprise sales and business development organization from the ground up and grew the company's customer base by more than tenfold across 35 countries in just three years. Drill has held sales leadership roles at IMlogic, MedSource Technologies and Parametric Technology. He began his career at IBM 23 years ago.

Drill holds a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Lithium continues to attract distinguished leaders from across the enterprise software industry. The company recently appointed former Documentum Chairman & CEO Jeffrey Miller to its board of directors and named Adobe and veteran Ed Van Siclen as SVP of Business Development & Global Alliances. Tarkoff joined Lithium as President and CEO from Adobe, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Enterprise Solutions business unit, which had annual revenue exceeding $1 billion.
