Lithium Technologies Strengthens Board with Appointment of Jeffrey A. Miller
Former Documentum Chairman & CEO Joins Board as Company Achieves Record Quarterly New Business, Wins Key New Customers
Emeryville, Calif. October 24, 2011 – Lithium Technologies, the leader in Social Customer Solutions, today announced it has appointed Jeffrey A. Miller, former Chairman and CEO of Documentum, Inc., to its board of directors, significantly strengthening its leadership. Lithium also announced continued strong business momentum, achieving record new business bookings in the third quarter as many of the world’s most recognizable brands continue to choose Lithium to grow and engage their social communities.
Miller, who is President of business consulting firm JAMM Ventures, joins Lithium’s board immediately.
"Jeff is clearly a recognized tech pioneer and industry visionary," said Rob Tarkoff, President and Chief Executive Officer. "We are honored to welcome Jeff to our board. His broad industry experience, particularly for companies at our stage of growth, and outstanding talent will be major assets as Lithium drives the shift in how brands engage with their social customers."
Lithium’s latest leadership addition further highlights the company’s ability to attract industry visionaries of the highest caliber. Ed Van Siclen recently joined Lithium as Senior Vice President of Business Development & Global Alliances. Tarkoff joined Lithium as President and CEO in September from Adobe Systems, where he served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Enterprise Solutions business unit, which had annual revenue exceeding $1 billion.
World’s Leading Brands Continue to Engage Lithium
Lithium continued to achieve record business momentum in the most recent quarter, winning and expanding engagements with marquee global brands that included Aruba Networks, Bombardier Recreational Products, BSkyB, Ipsos, Movistar Argentina and SuccessFactors among others.
"I'm pleased to report we continue to see strong demand across industries from the world's leading brands," Tarkoff said. "It's clear that brand leaders recognize the unique ability of Lithium's platform to build their brand nations and fully empower their customer communities."
Engagement during Lithium’s Likes to Loves World Tour 2011 was exceptionally strong.
More than 500 current and potential customers joined industry experts and Lithium thought leaders to converge in standing-room only venues in 10 cities across the globe during the Likes to Loves tour, sharing best practices and knowledge on how brands can identify their strongest advocates to build a brand nation that accelerates sales, reduces costs and increases brand advocacy.
"The Likes to Loves tour has been an incredible success," Tarkoff said. "The level of customer engagement and discussion continues to be universally high -- whether in Amsterdam, London, Sydney or in the Silicon Valley and major U.S. cities. It's absolute validation of the opportunities and growth ahead for Lithium."
