Lithium Celebrates Customer Innovations with 2016 Lithy Award Winners

Cisco, HP and H&R Block and Recognized for Outstanding Achievements in Customer Experience at Annual LiNC Conference

SAN FRANCISCO – June 16, 2016 – Lithium Technologies today announced the winners of the sixth annual Lithium Digital Customer Excellence Awards, affectionately known as the Lithys. The Lithy Awards generated a record-breaking number of submissions this year, with more than 100 Lithy entries from 67 global brands. The annual awards honor Lithium customers for their excellence in digital customer experience. Lithium customers, from 17 countries spanning five continents, submitted in six categories to highlight how they are using the Lithium platform to connect and engage with their customers. Winners were determined by community votes, and a judging panel including industry analyst and author of the CRM Watchlist Paul Greenberg, Brad Wallace of Ernst & Young Digital and a selection of Lithium executives.

Total Community All-Star: HP

Recognizes the company that leveraged both Community and Lithium Response for a stellar digital strategy.

  • HP creates technology that makes life better for everyone, everywhere through their portfolio of printers, PCs, mobile devices, solutions and services.
  • HP drove a 20% increase in community visits and registered users and nearly a 40% reduction in first response time with Lithium Response. 2016 Lithy Submission

Marketing Champion: Alteryx

Recognizes the company with the most creative and effective marketing strategy for activating their Community, influencers and superfans.

  • Alteryx is a provider of data blending and advanced analytics software.
  • Alteryx created a bold awareness and adoption campaign for their Community launch, leveraging gamification, contests, swag and hangouts to build engagement, generating 14,000 posts and more than 1,000 solutions in just 6 months. 2016 Lithy Submission

Social ROI Titan: H&R Block

Recognizes the company with the most impactful business metrics across Community, Lithium Response and other social platforms.

  • H&R Block is the world’s largest tax services provider.
  • H&R Block’s community generated more than $4.3 million in services in the past four tax seasons, with $2.9 million in the past year. 2016 Lithy Submission

Excellence in Customer Satisfaction: TELUS

Recognizes the company that achieved significant increase in customer engagement, loyalty and lifetime value.

  • TELUS is Canada’s largest provider of wireless and Internet services.
  • TELUS generated a 90% net recommend score on their community, and using Lithium Response was able to respond to 80% of Twitter conversations in 35 minutes or less. 2016 Lithy Submission

Support Savings MVP: Cisco

Recognizes the company that has best demonstrated significant cost efficiencies for their business.

  • Cisco is a worldwide IT provider that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment.

Community Design of the Year: Skype

Recognizes the community with the most impressive and engaging community design as well as a beautifully designed UI across devices.

  • Skype is an application that provides text, voice and video services.
  • Skype’s responsive community achieved a 23% increase in mobile registrations across all devices and 84% more images uploaded by implementing the new media experience. 2016 Lithy Submission

Regional Star: North America: Fitbit

  • Fitbit offers compact, wireless, wearable sensors that track a person's daily activities in order to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Regional Star: Europe: Telkom

  • Telkom is a wireline and wireless telecommunications provider in South Africa, and operating in more than 38 countries across the African continent.

Regional Star: Asia Pacific: Optus

  • Optus is Australia's second largest telecommunication provider, offering a broad range of communications services to over 10 million customers.
  • Optus saw 13% sales conversion, contributing to more than $400,000 of annualized revenue, 350,000 incremental call deflections, and a 230% increase on Opex savings. 2016 Lithy Submission
